Drama

Teaching Aims & Objectives

As part of the whole school curriculum, students will be provided with a rich and diverse experience of the historical, cultural and practical aspects of the art form of drama. The breadth and balance of the drama curriculum will ensure that students are taught how to create, perform and respond to drama by working with a variety of stimuli from different sources and traditions.

Drama Studio

All Drama lessons are taught in the purpose-built Drama Studio in A6.

Drama Club - Every Thursday in the Drama Studio (A6) from 3.20pm to 4.20pm

Drama club

Drama club will continue to run alongside smaller projects such as the Schools Shakespeare Festival. The Drama staff will take responsibility for leading the group on a half-termly carousel basis. This also affords the opportunity for the students to benefit from a range of teaching styles and to work with all members of the Drama team.
