Fitness Suite - NOW OPEN!
The Fitness Suite is open Monday and Tuesday, from 6pm - 8pm, Wednesday 5pm - 7pm and Saturday 10am - 12am during term time only. Members can contact the City Learning Centre on 01709 512032 to book their place in the fitness suite for that day. This takes place on a first come first served basis. Each member pays £10 membership for 3 months (£5 membership for Rotherham Gymnastics Club parents) and £3 each session they attend. Anyone wanting further information regarding membership should contact the City Learning Centre on 01709 512032/512038 or e-mail rcsinfo@rgfl.org for a membership application form.
Sports Hall
Our Sports Hall is available for hire. It can be used for football, badminton, fitness training and a wide range of other indoor sports. Please contact Frankie Pons – our Premises Manager – on 07020 108795 for further information on availability.
CLC
Our City Learning Centre has a wide range of PC and Apple Mac based facilities available for use by the wider community. Please check out the CLC website or call 512032 for bookings information.
Tennis Courts
The school was lucky to have new tennis courts funded through the Lawn Tennis Association. As well as being used by students after school we do have occasional use by parents and community groups. If you would be interested in using our tennis court provision during the evenings or weekends then please get in touch.
The learning environment and cafeteria
The school has a number of well equipped learning environments that can be used for the purposes of community group and/or adult learning beyond the normal school day. We also have a welcoming cafeteria environment that can be made available to cater for any group requirements.
Open Learning Centre Library
The school library accommodates a number of after-school learning activities and clubs. It is also used for parenting courses, ante-natal workshops, baby doll project and various arts activities. The library has a large drop down screen and projector with surround sound. It is available for community bookings up until 8pm on a weekday and during weekends.
Main Hall
RCS has a main hall with a large stage area and seating capacity of 300. It is regularly used for school productions and discos but provides opportunity for a rehearsal and/or event space for community groups.
Drama Studio
Our new drama studio has a sprung floor and lighting facilities. It is used for out-of-hours activities but can be booked as either a rehearsal or small performance space by members of the community.
