Staff Development @ Rawmarsh Community School
Working at Rawmarsh Community School is the start of life-long learning. The school actively promotes Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for every employee and encourages professional development either as a means to progress within the school or to gain promotion in another educational institution.
One way is attending courses of which there is a plethora within the authority eg. "NPQH", "TLA", "Leading from the middle", Training for Learning Support Assistants (LSA's) and Professional Support Assistants (PSA's). Equally important is observing skilled peripatetic teachers or artists in residence.
We encourage everyone to evaluate their own practice and learn from feedback either from observers or students.
We hope that everyone will extend their professional experience by leading and contributing to school based inset, working with other professionals and serving on working parties.
CPD matters at Rawmarsh Community School, it is the way forward.
